Stable View Cottages is located in the heart of Lake Fork in Yantis, Texas. We had a unique vision when planning these Lake Fork vacation rentals. The idea was that you can come to Lake Fork to fish for largemouth bass, which is by far the main attraction, but not the only reason to plan your next stay in the area. We decided to set out and prove just that.
Stable View Cottages
Our Lake Fork cabin rentals are actually time homes. Right at 399 sq. ft., they are the perfect size for families with 2-3 guests. With a queen size therapeutic bed in the large bedroom and a full size futon located in the living room, it makes for a comfortable stay for all. The futons are not your normal low quality futon. We specifically selected these after trying out and testing several options to ensure quality and comfort for guests. They are a must sleep on to really experience the comfort!
While we cater to a lot of fishermen and tournaments here at Lake Fork, we do have boat parking, electric and water at each of our tiny homes. Units also include a kitchen, small front porch and larger back porch overlooking our horse farm, Lake Fork Stables. The back porch also has custom made patio furniture and a charcoal grill for your enjoyment. Have a cook out on the porch and enjoy watching the horses.
Our Horse Farm
Located about 10 feet off of the back porch is a fence line that separates the property with the horse farm. The horses all have access to walk right up to the fence to receive a little love or even treats that are sold to encourage engagements. We also provide a few complimentary treats as well. There are actually dinner bells hanging on the fence that guests can ring to get their attention. As a souvenir of your stay, we have souvenir t-shirts with Mistic’s picture on the back available for purchase. We also offer photography if you’d like your picture taken with your favorite horse or family photos with the farm as a background.
If you’re looking for a more interactive equine experience, we also horseback riding for the beginner or seasoned rider. Packages start at $50 per person and include grooming, saddling and riding in our arena. It’s a great experience for those that want to bring the family and have things for them to do while they fish or just to add some flavor to their visit to Lake Fork.
Lake Fork is famous for it’s largemouth bass with many state records held here. What many don’t realize is that there is also great crappie, catfish, sand bass and even gar fishing. We have a large draw from bow fisherman when the alligator gar are in season. It’s also a great lake to kayak fish on, as there are several coves and areas with quite water. The great thing about our location is that we are just 3 minutes from the public boat ramp as well as the Sabine River Authority Day Use area, which has a large fishing dock for those that don’t have a boat. A boat rental company is also located just 10 minutes away.
